Kenyan Kiplimo Kimutai
HAWASSA (ETH, May 1): Kiplimo Kimutai of Kenya broke the course record in 1:03:10 winning the second edition of the EVERY ONE half-marathon. Second Gishu Duda 1:03:54. The women’s race came down to a sprint finish and was won by Sisay Measo in 1:16:41.

The races took place at an altitude of 1700 m with temperatures rising to above 30 degrees towards the end of the morning.

ST. WENDEL (GER, May 1): Kenyan wins at Globus Marathon. Wilson Melly clocked 2:19:24 and Esther Macharia 2:41:52.

SPOKANE (USA, May 1): Kenyan Simon Ndirangu used a final sprint to the finish line to win the Men's Elite Race in the 35th Lilac Bloomsday Run. Ndirangu unofficially ran a time of 33:57, just six seconds off the Bloomsday record. It is Ndirangu's second-ever Bloomsday, also running in 2007.

Fellow Kenyan Allan Kiprono placed second in what amounted to a two-horse race down the final stretch down Monroe Street.

MERANO (ITA, May 1): Edwin Kipyego won the 18th Half-Marathon here in 1:04:11. Best woman was Moroccan Soumiya Labani (1:13:51).

BENEVENTO (ITA, May 1): At the 20th edition of Strabenevento Ezekiel Meli of Kenya achieved 28:49 beating clearly Ottavio Andriani (30:40) and Cosimo Calliandro (31:00). Women Moroccan winner Meryem Lamachi achieved 34:11.

PUY (FRA, May 1): Ethiopian Dino Sefir won the 29th edition of the 15 km road race in Puy clocking 43:57. Kenyan Sarah Chepchirchir was the best woman (50:28).

MARSEILLE (FRA, May 1): Commonwealth Games fourth placer Titus Mbishei won the Marseille 10 km road race in fast personal best 27:32. It is third fastest 10 km road time of the year. Second Philemon Limo the recent Prague HM winner also fast 27:35. Women winner Doris Changeiywo achieved 33:03.

RADFORD (USA, Apr 30): Botswana sprint record holder Obakeng Ngwigwa clocked 20.89 (+0.2) and 46.88. Fredrick Townsend got the 110 m hurdles at Radford Invitational (13.72, 0.0).

BRNO (CZE, Apr 30): Kenyan wins at Brno Half-Marathon. Elisha Sawe 1:05:31 and Veronica Cheboi 1:17:29.
